 I Am Alive—Sept. 13th

In the post-apocalyptic action/adventure I Am Alive, players are faced with thought-provoking choices in the role of a survivor on a journey to find his wife and daughter, who were lost during the “Event.” Players will be challenged by both their environment and their enemies while trying to survive.

This may not be the type of game for people who like to get right into the action. Not only will you have to make different decisions that could change the outcome of the game, you will have to look for supplies, keep your stamina high, and encounter some desperate people also trying to survive at any cost. If you enjoy the concept of survival and a post-apocalyptic world then this game might be for you. I Am Alive is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat waiting to find out what is going to happen next.

 Borderlands 2—Sept. 18th

Borderlands 2 is the epic sequel to the four-player role-playing shooter loot fest. Combining invention and evolution, Borderlands 2 features new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment, which come together in an ambitiously crafted story. Players will reveal secrets, and escalate mysteries of the Borderlands universe as they adventure across the unexplored areas of Pandora.

The first Borderlands game was definitely a success with its unique style of graphics and awesome multiplayer. The saying ‘the more the merrier’ really speaks the truth when it comes to the multiplayer in Borderlands.  Choosing between four different types of characters, each with their own powers and personality, having four players can add a lot of diversity and fun to this game. Of course single player will be great too. The world of Pandora is definitely a unique one with midget psychopaths and apocalyptic/sci-fi environment, but its uniqueness is what makes it fun and I know that Borderlands 2 will include the great things about the first one and more.

Dead or Alive 5—Sept. 25th

Dead or Alive 5 marries its signature fighting style with MMA fighting techniques to deliver a major kick for players new and old. DoA 5 adds new characters, battle modes, and fighting moves, while also adding interactive backgrounds to make the fighting more intense and exciting than before.

I have played a lot of different types of fighting games but Dead or Alive has always been my top pick out of all of them. What is great about this game is how anyone can play this and have fun. Most fighting games have controls that make it a little challenging to get used to but with dead or alive you can go right into the action and do some pretty cool stuff. The variety of fighting styles, beautiful graphics, and interactive backgrounds make this fighting game worth checking out.

 Resident Evil 6—Oct. 2nd

Resident Evil 6 promises yet another dramatic, frightening experience blending action and survival horror. In a first for the franchise, RE 6 sees Leon and Chris come together to face this unprecedented threat. They are joined by new characters, each with their own perspective and involvement, in this relentless outbreak enacted on a global scale.

You can’t really go wrong with a zombie game but resident evil has always been one of the best zombie games. Not only is the storyline good for a zombie horror game, but not knowing what is going to happen next makes this game exciting and fun. It also has co-op with three different storylines with their own view of what is happening around the world with the T-virus. Playing with a friend is definitely a fun way to play this game, and it is less creepy than just playing it by on your own.

 Dishonored—Oct. 9th

Set in an industrial whaling city where steampunk- inspired technology coexist in the shadows. You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the Empress. Framed for her murder, you become an infamous assassin. In a time of uncertainty, dark forces bestow upon you abilities beyond those of any common man – but at what cost?

Coming from the creators of Fallout and Oblivion Scrolls: Skyrim, I can already tell that this game will be great, and this isn’t just my opinion. Dishonored won over 50 E3 awards including Gamespy’s E3 game of show award, which shows that it is probably going to be a pretty good game. In Dishonored you can get powers to control time, possess animals, even people, summon rats, and you can use these powers any way you want, and your creativity can help. You can also use stealth to sneak up on your enemies or just run right into them and go crazy with a crossbow that shoots exploding arrows. Either way Dishonored lets you play the game with your own style.
